Day 1 - Evening

So I was hoping to get away with coming all the way home for the weekend without my hay fever tablets. That didn't happen. Spent the last 6 hours with a box of tissues sneaking my brains out and the chemist wont open until im back on the road headed back home tomorrow. Not to mention that shit is expensive. I cant afford to keep my health at an optimum level!

What else did I do today? The usual. Sat at my computer trawling the interwebs. Not much happens on Sundays. Except today is was bloody hot! My parent's house is massive and the ceilings are incredibly high. Cooling the place is almost impossible to do efficiently. So the whole day i've had a pedestal fan poined at me. The bloody thing broke as well! One of the propellers somehow snapped off so I had to super glue that shit back on. Successful mission so far. It's slightly unallanced but what are you going to do?

Other than that there isn't much to report... MLI boring for sure.

Day 1 - Morning

Turns out someone tought him how to Gangnam Style. Sort of. I wont be able to repress these memories for weeks...
In other news people up here don't drink cider  At all. It's weird. Though to be fair it's pretty darn hard to find a place in Melbourne that has Carlton or VB on tap. Country logic I guess.

Funds remain the same. I guess that's not a bad thing.

Day 0

Day 0.
I begin this blog at my parents' house, having come home for the weekend for reasons I am yet to understand. Something about free beer, I'm sure. Either way it's a grueling 6 hours of travel by train and car to get here.

So far today I've sat with the laptop trawling the internet. The specs of the laptop arent that great. 32-bit with 4GB of RAM for God's sake. Were I at home honestly not much would be different except I'd be playing BF BC2. But this... GRAH!

Tonight I am going to a 21st birthday to see people I've only ever briefly met and/or despise. Should be fun... I wonder if I can bring my tablet. I dont think Optus will have reception out there anyway so theres not much of a point. Well, it's BYO and my Father is bringing 2 slabs of beer. I guess this will count as father-son bonding.

So far today no money has been spent. The Student god that watches over is being nice. I love her sometimes.

For the sake of context, here is my monthly expenses.
Rent, $1200
Food, $250
Water, $4
Elec, $60
Internet, $50
They're all due within 3 days of eachother at the start of each month. So far I can pay all of them. Just. Looks like there will be no indulging ebay this month... That new server and switch will have to wait. (I dislike my current one)

This blog will be about my daily life as a student and contract IT worker working on a commission basis at a company that I cannot divulge any information about. I live solely off this low income and a yearly scholarship that has to cover my EVERYTHING. Rent, bills, living, etc. My parent sometimes supply me with money where they can but honestly they live on a month by month basis and my siblins seem not to understand this...

I currently live in Carlton in Victora, Australia and attend the RMIT City campus doing an Ass. Deg. in IT.
